I surround myself with people who have the saddest eyes. I work enough hours that florescent light no longer hurts my eyes. I try not to drink, not to smoke, not to falsify my own exsistance anymore than it already is... I generally fail. I turn 21 in a month. My sidekick is getting turned back on.

it's not the fact that i don't drink or smoke, it's the fact that i try desperately not to & can't seem to help myself. i quit smoking for about 5 months & picked it back up because *DUNDUNDUNDUN* it's hard to drink without having a smoke *sigh* being healthy is fucking difficult.

welp, it's better than snorting pills i guess but nevertheless both are still *chemical dependencies* they are hard to quit but easy when you ditch the problems that are making you go back to those things. i've ditched like 8 ~friends~ this year already because i thought they were just losers. i'd rather be alone and make better choices than be around a bunch of fools with no future. my mommy always tells me that there are worse things than being alone.

for me personally, i know that my vices are not necessarily my downfall anymore, it's just more of an annoyance. considering some of my past vices (drugs i'd rather not name in such a public forum), i consider drinking & smoking cigarettes to be harmeless. i'd just like to have a slight bit more self control. & your mommy is right, there are worse things than being alone. congratulations on quitting.

I tried to stop smoking, but yea, smoking while you drink...there's no other way! So now I only smoke when I drink, but drinking is another vice that I just cannot give up.

I swear, that's the problem. It's almost the same with drinking coffee & smoking cigarettes. They compliment each other. Ugh. If we ever manage to both give up smoking, we'll be each other's quitting buddies <3
